Oaklands Global is currently looking to recruit a Technical Trainer/Safety Officer to join our reputable client on a permanent basis.
The Technical Trainer/Safety Officer CAMO is part of the Airworthiness Support Team and reports to the Airworthiness Manager for training and to the Safety Manager for safety investigations. You will be responsible for the development and execution of initial and recurrent technical training sessions. In addition to the training role, you will be a key player in propagation and implementation of technical safety and quality standards.
Role Responsibilities
- Writing and continuous updating and improvement of training documents
- Preparation of training material and training aids such as CBT, PPT
- Keep yourself up to date with the latest changes in company procedures, company software and airworthiness publications.
- Give initial and recurrent airworthiness, procedure and company used software training sessions to CAMO and engineering staff.
- Collect feedback from trainees concerning the training received but also concerning the difficulties experienced during their day-to-day work and feedback this experience to the different support departments and quality department to help improving company procedures and systems.
- Preparation of examinations for the different training sessions.
- Perform airworthiness and/or technical safety investigations in cooperation with the Safety manager and Airworthiness manager.
- Promoting and implementing technical quality and safety standards across the different bases.
- Assist the Airworthiness and Safety Managers in controlling outstanding quality findings and safety recommendations
- Collect feedback from the different bases on airworthiness processes and procedures.
- Communicate feedback with the different airworthiness departments and quality department to help improving safety and quality standards across the network.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Technical degree in aviation or 3 years’ experience in an aviation maintenance environment or aviation quality & safety environment.
- Teacher degree or relevant teaching experience.
- Good computer knowledge including use of Word and Powerpoint.
- Good working knowledge of technical English (writing/reading/speaking)
- Basic knowledge of the French language.
- Keen to learn new software packages such as Rusada Envision, Qpulse, etc.
- Driven by results, gets things done, proactive and open to change.
- Willing to travel frequently
